FANCY. , Mr.C.R. - former owner of property at 17 Pleasant Street (formerly 19), Hillsborough, N.B. Believe he worked with the Gypsum Mines. He was the man who found the Mammoth bones in Albert County. The new owners are compiling a history for an Inn at this address and would like information.

FORTUNE. I am looking for information about John Fortune, born about 1850, and his wife Johanna Leighton, born about the same time. They are my paternal, adoptive, great grandparents. Their son, Henry Thomas, was born Aug 1876 probably in New Brunswick. He left Shepody, NB to move to Portland, Cumberland, Maine. When there, he became a US citizen in 1898. In 1902, Henry married Anna Marie Anderson. and they adopted daddy in July 1913, when he was 22 months. Any information regarding John and Johanna would be appreciated. Nona (2/2/2001) NEW

FOSHAY. Seeking information on second wife of Peter Foshay. He was born about 1791 in Queen's County,N.B. d. 16 December 1866 at Hopewell,Albert County. Buried Grey's Island Cemetery,Hillsborough,Albert County. He married (1) Phoebe Amelia Fowler and married (2) Caroline ---??--- of Albert County. In the 1881 Census of Albert County, Caroline was living as a widow in the household of Edwin Calhoun. It is believed that Caroline was a widow when Peter married her. FOSTER. Looking for descendants of James Foster 1795-1886 and Hannah Hanscom 1800-1865.  Both were born in Maine, married there, lated moved to Alma, NB where they both died.  My information says most of the children born Maine.

FOSTER. Anyone out there that has info on the Foster family who settled in Alma, beginning around 1840? I'm a decendant of those Foster's and the grandson of Hiram Foster, who traveled west to La Conner WA. around 1900. I believe that the entire family eventually ended up in Anacortes, WA. and the surrounding area. Love to hear from anyone out there. (30/3/2000)

FOSTER Looking for information on my great grandfather John FOSTER b.1817 d. Mar. 3, 1895 m. Mary MORSE? b. 1828 New Castle Upon Tyne, England, d. July 9, 1895. M. Sackville Parish Mar. 5, 1847.  Lived in Mary's Point, Albert Co.  Later moved to N.S. & settling in Springhill, N.S.  They had following children:

FERGUSON.  Seeking information on the family of William FERGUSON (b. 1791 Leitrim, Ireland) and Elizabeth CRAWFORD, who emigrated from Ireland to Albert County, NB (likely Harvey) about 1820.  Methodists.  Moved to Halton County, ON about 1839 with some of their children (William b. 1815 Ireland; John, b. 1822 Albert Co; James b.c. 1828; Joseph b. 1829; Lindsay Crawford b. 1832; Elizabeth b. 1834).  Four others apparently did not make the move:  George, Rozanna or Roxanna, Mary Ann and Jane (who may have died at Waterside, NB).  Any information appreciated, especially their Albert Co location and info on those who stayed in NB.
