FORTUNE. I am looking for information about John Fortune, born about 1850, and his wife Johanna Leighton, born about the same time. They are my paternal, adoptive, great grandparents. Their son, Henry Thomas, was born Aug 1876 probably in New Brunswick. He left Shepody, NB to move to Portland, Cumberland, Maine. When there, he became a US citizen in 1898. FOSHAY. Seeking information on second wife of Peter Foshay. He was born about 1791 in Queen's County,N.B. d. 16 December 1866 at Hopewell,Albert County. Buried Grey's Island Cemetery,Hillsborough,Albert County. He married (1) Phoebe Amelia Fowler and married (2) Caroline ---??--- of Albert County. In the 1881 Census of Albert County, Caroline was living as a widow in the household of Edwin Calhoun. It is believed that Caroline was a widow when Peter married her. I'm a decendant of those Foster's and the grandson of Hiram Foster, who traveled west to La Conner WA. around 1900. FERGUSON. Seeking information on the family of William FERGUSON (b. 1791 Leitrim, Ireland) and Elizabeth CRAWFORD, who emigrated from Ireland to Albert County, NB (likely Harvey) about 1820. Methodists. Moved to Halton County, ON about 1839 with some of their children (William b. 1815 Ireland; John, b. 1822 Albert Co; James b.c. 1828; Joseph b. 1829; Lindsay Crawford b. 1832; Elizabeth b. 1834). Four others apparently did not make the move: George, Rozanna or Roxanna, Mary Ann and Jane (who may have died at Waterside, NB). Any information appreciated, especially their Albert Co location and info on those who stayed in NB.
