RABKIN
- Samuel Rabkin, lumberman Albert County 1910-1930 (?).
My mother: Bessie Rabkin, born in Alma 1917, moved to
Saint John - not sure what year; no living relatives to
tell me "the story": how and why did a man (my
grandfather) get from Vitebsk Poland to Albert County NB?
A family of Jewish descent with no background in the
lumber business. My mother (deceased) certainly knew the
Steeves family. Any help appreciated. Jason Paikowsky or jpaikowsky@home.com (24/4/2000)
REID.
Does anyone have any awareness of the parents of an Amos
REID of Hopewell Cape? Who were they, and where may
they have lived in NB? Amos as listed in the 1851
Census was NB born. This Amos can be identified by the
following information:
-
- 1. Amos
F. REID was born October 22, 1823, and died
July 18, 1877. He married Mary Ann TOWNSHEND
December 31, 1846. Children of Amos REID and Mary
TOWNSHEND are:
-
- i. Elizabeth
Ann REID, b. October 17, 1847; d. June 18, 1885.

REID, b. December 23, 1849; d. March 06, 1852.

REYNOLDS.
I'm looking for ancestry of Sarah Reynolds b 1768,
Hillsborough married John James Jonah.
I'm also interested in any descendants of this couple.
I'm descended from their daughter Mary, who married
Zachariah Lutz. Stuart Ward (7/7/1999)
RICKER.
We are interested in information on Amos, Ambrose and
Beverely RICKER - lived around the Prosser Brook or
Turtle Creek area in Albert Co. Any data would be
great. Thanks John Pond (10/6/1999)
ROBINSON.
Robert Ainslie Robinson was born in Goshen, Albert
County in 1855. Died 2 May 1924. One brother is
believed to be George Arthur Robinson b 1852.
Have not been able to
track father of above. One family story (unconvincing)
is that father may be
named Edwin who married a Mary (Polly) Dobson.
Any leads would help
me. I have the rest of the tree from there for those who
are interested.

ROBINSON. I
have 14 generations of Bradbury Robinson's ancestors and
descendants dating back to 1580 to 2000. I would like to
find more info on Captain William Eli Robinson, son of
Aaron and Mary Dudgeon Robinson. He was born in 1832 in
Hopewell and died Aug. 9, 1903. He married a Mary, {last
name unknown} perhaps in England. He was living in
Brooklyn Villas, Ellesmere Port, in the county of
Chester, England when he had his will made in 1893 left
everything to his wife Mary. I also need info on a Daniel
Robinson, son of Aaron. Census in 1851 gives his age as
20 born abt. 1831. Is this the Daniel that married Lucy
Rogers? I find him again in the 1881 census at Hillsboro.
Maybe he was called by his middle name. He would be the
2nd born male in this family. I can account for all the
rest of the family except for a C.D. Robinson. Hope
someone can help me on this. Thanks Doreen Robinson Penney (26/3/2001) NEW
ROGERS.
I'm looking for the parents of James Clark Rogers, born
in Hopewell and married to Martha Foster
of Alma in 1857. He became captain and part owner
of the barque Lalia in the 1870's and '80's. His son was
Charles Wellington Rogers, my grandfather.

RUTLEDGE-STEEVES.
I have been searching for more info on ggrandfather Adam
Angus Rutledge b.1869, married Elizabeth Steeves;
gggrandfather David M. Rutledge b.1823 d.1904;
ggggrandfather William Rutledge b.1808 (?). Any related
info would be greatly appreciated. Barbara (Rutledge) Priestley (17/1/2000)
Please note
corrections to my initial query. I now have
verified information about my early Rutledge
relatives. David's father was not William, but
THOMAS RUTLEDGE, who came from England in 1819 and
married ANN (from Ireland). According to the 1851,
they had 3 children, MARGARET, DAVID and WILLIAM and were
listed in the parish of Springfield. David's wife
was CATHERINE LONG and her parents were WILLIAM and
MARY CATHERINE LONG. Their children were GEORGE,
ADAM (my great grandfather), PETER and MARY. Sincerely, Barbara Rutledge Priestley (19/6/2000)
