SCHAAP. My wife and I were given a painting of the old covered bridge going into Alma or Fundy I believe. The artist was Gerard Schaap or something close to that. The painting is at least 35 years old and is done on some form of parchment or it may be a print. I was wondering if this person is still alive or if there are any more paintings around. Geraldine and Borden Steeves of  Coverdale ( long since passed away  ) gave us the picture. I would appreciate any info you could give me on this or suggest someone who could. Thanks,
Hans Larsen 15 Elizabeth Dr Gander, N.F. A1V 1G4
p.s. My wife's mothers family name was Rennisen from Hillsboro (25/2/2000)

SINCLAIR. My great-great grandfather was Patrick Sinclair, born in Ireland in 1796, came to New Ireland (near Alma) in 1822.  He had seven children in his household:

Mary Jane  b. 1836

Patrick b. 1845

National Park in Manitoba and have a fairly complete family tree for Patrick Jr's  (b. 1845) sons, George Sinclair (b. 1880) and Hugh Sinclair (b. 1866), but only limited information on the descendents of other children of Patrick Sinclair Sr. I also would like to establish the ancestry of Patrick Sinclair Sr. (b. 1796), along with the ancestors and descendents of Finley Sinclair (b. 1785 in Ireland), who came to Canada in 1820 and lived close to Patrick in New Ireland.   Michael Sinclair  (25/9/2000)
