Since Hezekiah Marks who came to Albert County from New England about 1830 married Hannah Marks, I also have most of these Marks descendants as well.

WILLIAMS.  Barbara Williams. b.? ( New Brunswick.)  I am seeking the son of Barbara Williams.  John was born Sept 11,1888 in Moncton. His father was not noted in birth records. His name was changed to John White. He  married  Clara Bishop June17, 1913 Westmorland Co. NB.
Children : Earl, George, Jack (John) June 10,1920 and Maudie.
Two of these children were registered as Leblanc by the government changing their names to the french version.

I'm tracing my g-grandmother, if indeed she was Barbara Williams at the time of giving birth to my grandfather (John Williams/ John White). His name was
changed to White some time later by his adoptive(?) parents/guardians. The family who raised my grandfather were actually named Landry ,and I suspect that he was raised in Moncton (as my father, John/Jack grew up there too). It is a bit of a mystery here.

If you have any connections , please contact. (29/5/03)

WOODWORTH. I am a descendant of the New Brunswick Woodworths who settled on the Nashwaak River valley which is only a few miles from Fredericton. My lineage is from a Joseph N Woodworth (b. 5 Oct 1797), who, I believe was the son of Leonard (b. 4 Feb 1763) who obtained a 300 acre grant in the Wakefield
Parish (around Woodstock, on the St. John River) about 60 miles above Fredericton. I currently live in the small Northern BC village of Chetwynd and don't
have access to the local NB records that I would like. I think I am related to the William (b. 1731) who went to NS, if Leonard was his son.
My question  is: Who is the William Woodworth mentioned in the Studholme Report of July 1783 living in Newtown, NB? He stated that he had
been there for a couple of years but before that, lived at Cornwallis. He was married with 3 children and lived in a "poor log house". Is this the William
who was born in Rhode Island (or Mass.) in 1731, or was this his son William who would have been a brother to Leonard. It just so happens that Newtown
(now Fredericton North) is handy where my Joseph N raised his family. I wonder what happened to this "William" ! There was a land grant applied for, by a Giles Woodworth in 1786 for some land around Maquopit (sp?) Lake,NB. which is only about 20 miles from Fredericton. I was wondering where he fits into the picture!!!
I hope that you don't mind that I have taken the liberty to post this, and ask a few questions!

I would appreciate any info that you may offer,
